A collection of links to recent media articles, federal and state websites with the latest information on the COVID vaccine have been compiled by ERRC staff. To determine when the vaccine will be available to 65+ older adults living in the community, you should call or check the websites of your health care provider, local public health department, CVS, and Walgreen's for updates.
The County of Los Angeles Public Health has a dedicated website: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/covidvaccinedistribution/, to answer the public’s questions about vaccines, and the proposed Tiered Phases.
Vaccine Distribution
UCLA is following public health recommendations and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) thoughtful criteria for prioritizing and administering the COVID-19 vaccine. The highest risk individuals, including health care workers and people 65 and older, will be prioritized. See the CDC’s full recommendation here.
UCLA COVID-19 Vaccine Information Hub
To date, over 10,000 UCLA Health personnel have received the vaccine and thousands are vaccinated each week.
Centers for Disease Control called "Fully Vaccinated Guidance"
This is the first set of public health recommendations for fully vaccinated people. This guidance will be updated and expanded based on the level of community spread of SARS-CoV-2, the proportion of the population that is fully vaccinated, and the rapidly evolving science on COVID-19 vaccines.
