Open Enrollment is here!

Open Enrollment is the annual period when University of California retirees can enroll in benefits for the next calendar year. Retirees can enroll for their 2025 benefits starting from Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 at 8 a.m. (PST) until Friday, November 22, 2024 at 5 p.m. (PST). Additional information, such as plan changes, as well as tools and resources to assist with this year’s benefits choices, will be shared as soon as it becomes available. If you don’t act during Open Enrollment, you’ll continue your current health coverage in 2025, but your costs will likely change. Learn all about your benefits on the dedicated Open Enrollment page and ask ALEX to walk you through your choices and costs.

Please read a message from Cheryl Lloyd, vice president of Systemwide Human Resources, about cost increases in medical plan premiums for 2025. In her letter to the UC community, Vice President Lloyd discusses the significant changes in 2025 health plans and what UC is doing for 2026.

UCLA Health Care Facilitator Open Enrollment Help Desks

The Zoom help desk sessions are run in a Live Q&A format and are offered to answer any additional questions you may have after reviewing the Retiree Open Enrollment Presentation and other materials. Before attending any help desks, review the Retiree Open Enrollment Presentation here or on our YouTube page.

Regarding the UCLA Health Medicare Advantage plan being offered to Los Angeles County residents - as it is not a UC Systemwide-sponsored plan, it will not be discussed. Instead, review the UCLA Health Medicare Advantage flyer.

NOTE: The UCLA Health Care Facilitator (HCF) is here to assist with escalated medical, dental and vision plan issues that you have not been able to resolve on your own. The HCF is not your first point of contact for any issue. If you have questions about your retiree check, questions about plan premiums, or enrollment process or eligibility issues (such as your plan says you and/or your dependent(s) are not covered), please contact the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) at 800-888-8267 or log into UCRAYS to contact RASC customer service from within the portal. UC retiree plans are maintained by RASC. RASC is responsible for resolving your eligibility and enrollment issues when you have retiree coverage.
